		<description>The idea of a sabbatical, taking a step out not to vacation but regain a calm sense of though, purpose and perspective, certainly is a fading formality of the workplace.

My dad has enjoyed one sabbatical in his 30+ career as a lawyer.  I was 9, we spent 4 months focusing on traveling Europe, but mostly living in a small farmhouse 14 miles outside Paris, owned by a family friend.  

I applaud the Art of the Sabbatical, sounds like a class The School of Life should hold.  The benefit of a sabbatical actually would be a great sociology masters thesis, or better yet, focus of a sabbatical.</description>
